About MCC Lacrosse
MCC Lacrosse is one of fourteen Sporting Sections that falls under the umbrella organisation of the Melbourne Cricket Club together with baseball, bowls, cricket, croquet, football, golf, hockey, netball, real tennis, squash, tennis, target shooting and of course the Melbourne Football Club. MCC Lacrosse plays out of the iconic Albert Cricket Ground and more recently, the brand new complex at Beaumaris Secondary College.
The MCC Lacrosse Sporting Section was founded in 1896 as a combined affiliation of the Caulfield and Melbourne Clubs and won their first premiership just three years later in 1898. More recently, MCC Lacrosse celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2021. Throughout our 125 years and counting, MCC Lacrosse have hosted international matches including world championships and Olympic Games demonstration events and boast both international and Australian representatives, plus five Hans Ebeling Award winners, an award that honours those who have given outstanding service to the MCC Sporting Sections.
With the introduction of lacrosse into the 2028 Olympics, it is an exciting time to become involved in our sport and MCC Lacrosse is the place to be with our thriving Junior program and the return of our Senior Men to the State League competition.
